How can we help?
Treely is the private, family-only home for your family's photos, people, and stories.
Add a memory
Photos, stories, and small moments — attached to the right branch.
Invite your family
Private invite links that drop people into the right spot in the tree.
Build your tree
Add parents, partners, and children — one relative at a time.
Privacy & safety
- Yes. Treely is invite-only and family-only. Nothing you add is ever public, there are no ads, and we never sell your data. The only people who can see your tree are the family members you've invited.
- By default, everyone in your family tree can see memories and people you add. Each branch of the tree has its own visibility settings, so you can narrow who sees what — for example, keeping a sensitive memory to a single branch or to direct relatives only.
- Children under 13 are managed by a parent or guardian inside the family. Their profile is created and controlled by that adult, they can't be invited by strangers, and content involving them follows the same family-only rules as everything else.
Getting started
- When you first open Treely you can either start a new tree (you become its Owner) or join an existing one with an invite link from a family member. You can belong to more than one tree — for example, your own family and your in-laws'.
- Open the tree view, tap a person, and choose 'Add relative.' You can add parents, partners, children, and siblings. People you add don't get an invite automatically — adding someone to the tree and inviting them to join are two separate steps.
- Tap the + button, choose a photo or write a story, and attach it to a person, a couple, or a moment in time. That memory shows up on the right branches of the tree for everyone who can see it.
Invites & family
- From a person's profile, tap 'Invite' to send a private link by message or email. The link is tied to that person's place in the tree, so when they join they're already connected to the right relatives.
- They land in the same family tree you do, with the relationships you've already set up. They can add their own memories, fill in details about themselves, and (with your blessing) help grow neighboring branches.
- Yes. Minors are added as managed profiles by a parent or guardian, and any invite that would let a child sign in on their own device needs that adult to approve it first.
Your account
- Go to Me → Edit profile. You can update your name, photo, birthday, and the short bio that appears on your card in the tree.
- Open Me → Settings → Appearance to switch between light, dark, and system themes, and Me → Settings → Language to change the app language.
- Open Me → Settings → Account → Delete my account. You'll be asked to confirm, and we'll permanently remove your personal account and the content only you uploaded, in line with GDPR. Memories that other family members co-authored stay with the family tree.
